Our Management Team

Brian co-founded our company in February of 2006. He has over 15 years experience in the construction industry and has successfully managed many projects from $30,000 to well over $10 million. He has held a Florida Certified General Contractors License since 2000 and is the qualifying agent for Cathey Construction. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida.

As President of the firm, Brian is responsible for the daily operations of the company and serves as Project Manager overseeing construction activities on each project. Brian is responsible for project development and estimating as well.

W. Brian Cathey, President

As Vice President and co-founder, Al is responsible for assisting in the fiscal functions of the firm as well as providing senior leadership. He has owned and operated several successful businesses in our area and currently manages Cathey's Ace Hardware, which he has owned for over 30 years. In addition to his business experience, Al has served several terms as Councilman for the City of Mexico Beach. He is currently serving as Mayor, and recently ran unopposed for his second term. He holds a B.S. in Communications / Public Relations from the University of Southern Mississippi. Click for Resume
W. Al Cathey, Vice President
Kyle joined our team in August 2008 and recently completed two projects at the Port of Panama City. He is a licensed building contractor and has well established relationships with many local subcontractors and suppliers. Kyle has a broad range of experience in field operations as well as value engineering, scheduling and estimating software.

Cecelia joined our team in January 2008. She is responsible for the daily operations of the office as well as maintaining our office systems, filing systems, scheduling and policies and procedures. She has extensive knowledge in office administration and is highly proficient with our computer systems. Cecelia has a degree in Business Administration and has over 20 years experience. She has worked with local law firms and developers focusing on real estate developments, construction, building science and design. Click for Resume

Kody joined our team in December 2010 as a project assistant. His responsibilities include assisting the project estimators throughout the bid process and assisting our project managers with current projects, specifically including the submittal process. Kody has over 8 years construction experience and is currently enrolled at Chipola College in the Business Management academic program and has plans to obtain a Master's Degree from FAMU in Building Construction.

Will joined our team in May 2009 and is currently attending the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, enrolled in the Building Construction program. Will remains a part of our team and works part-time during winter and summer breaks.
